  • Re INDEXING remotely via http?

    Is there a clever/easy/built in way.... ????

I need for some 'admin' users to log in to web page, (easy enough)
    Then trigger a 're-index'.
Is there some standard method for this?

    thanks

I assume this is a question about how to launch the indexing process from a web page.

This is possible, but I don't know if you would call it easy or clever.

You can write a page (say in PHP), and from this page execute the Zoom indexed using the command line options. See the User's Guide for details of the available command line options. This takes some coding and is less than ideal, as you don't get much in the way of progresss / reporting.

You could also schedule jobs and avoid the need to login at all.

The better solution is to use the Windows built in remote desktop function.
