  • Allow the following * to Join Words

Forgive me if there is a such option.

I was wondering if the option
Allow the following * to SEPERATE Words .

The problem I have is. When Indexing "john-doe_9994949.jpg "

And then runnung a search for the exact name "john-doe_9994949" or "joh*" will return the result.

But if I search form JOHN. Nothing is returned.

    Possible this option is needed?

    Regards

The way it works at the moment is to either have john-doe as a single word or have john-doe as two words, "john" and "doe".

You can control this behaviour from the "indexing options" configuration window.

For this particaular example you are better off turning off the hypens and underscores as join characters. But it might not be ideal for all situations.

Yea, I was aware of that option. And had it set with all except Filename checked.

I have re-indexed and checked. All is working now, dunno. Guess I will take the blame.

      I thought it was odd.

      Apologies for waisting your time.

      Regards
