  • Javascript won't display some results

    Hi

For reasons to do with my web hosting company, i decided to use Javascript to run the searches (running asp.net pages). I have the pro edition.

2 things i cannot explain are happening when i use the site at work...

firstly, searches are only pulling up .aspx NOT .doc/.pdf pages etc. When i use the site at home everything comes up on a search including those files.

secondly, i have edited the search.html page so it looks a little more presentable. At home, it all works fine. At work, it looks fine if i search for a term that I know is contained in one of my .aspx pages. But if i search for something in a .doc file, it loads the original 'search.html' layout, even though this is not on either my hosted site OR in my temp internet files.

What is going on? Is this something to do with my 'work' server (although the site itself is coming from a hosted server elsewhere) or something else? it is extremely frustrating!

seems to have been fixed by running in compatability view.....

any way of getting around this?

Might be just a caching effect of your browser.
Either clear out the local browser cache, or try the same test from a 2nd browser that hasn't had a chance to cache the pages.
