problem: page number too big. stopping.

I have just finished uploading the latest index files and am suddenly getting this error message on my search engine.

Oops, don't worry. I did another index and uploaded the new files and it seems to be working now.

The "page number too big" error is a typical result of a corrupted set of index files. This might happen if you only uploaded half the files to your server, or you uploaded the files in FTP ASCII mode rather than Binary mode.
