Categories for pdf

I am trying to filter pdf result using your cateogies feature,
i have tryed:
*.pdf
pdf
.pdf

non seem to work, i clearly missed somthing!

can anybody help!

Normally
.pdf
is what you want.

Can you post a few URLs to the PDF files you are indexing?

Are you sure .pdf files are actually being indexed on your site an not skipped?

I think the problem is that the .PDF are falling under a categories of
[News & Announcements] so they are not under [PDF's]

Is there a way to get do a filter for all pdf what ever other categories they are in?

[News & Announcements] looks at /news_announcements/ folder

In the current version of the software the same page can not appear in multiple categories.

However in your case you might be able to solve the problem but moving the PDF category up the categories list (using the arrow buttons on the category tab).
