Ignoring parts of pages

I have a consistant header, menu and footer which is 'included' on every page of my site.

Can I ignore this identical data from every page? Can I insert some sort of <-- #ignore-start --> and <-- #ignore-end --> tag within my SSIs so that Zoom ignores the content?

Agree, I've seen it happening is so many forums. Maybe you could buck the trend by intercepting the submit button to run any prospective message through an archive search to return "Do any of these previous threads answer your question?".

Thanks for that. Missed it in the FAQ and nothing returned for my searches in here.

A suggesstion may be to set up proper forum categories, perhaps in line with your FAQ categories, then add a couple of stickies for the common questions.

Having one huge category is not a good way to impart information. It gives a daunting perception of the job of looking for an answer, so if a search does not return results (like in my case) you have no choice put to open a new
question.
