Unable to launch Search Engine Indexer without using the Eng

I recently purchased the Zoom Search Engine Professional Edition and installed it on our site server. Based on the documentation I was able to create the search engine successfully, create indexes in the spider mode, upload the index config. files and run the indexer several times. Everything seemed to be progressing smoothly, however today I am having problems launching the indexer. Every time I run the ZoomIndexer.exe from my Start up it crashes. Any pointers/help on what could be the possible problem would be greatly appreciated.

Is there an error message when it crashes?

The title of your post was truncated. You said, "Unable to launch Search Engine Indexer without using the Eng". What was the last word going to be, I have the feeling it might be important?

What version of Windows are you using?

Are you running a virus checker? Maybe the .exe has become infected, in which case a re-install might help.

What version of Zoom are you using?

Did anything change on your system between when Zoom did work and now?

Does it crash immeditely upon startup, or just after you start to index your site?
