Does anyone know if you can link from a search result to a specific page in a PDF file? Can zoom search return the page number from a pdf when it is search and add it to the url using the this style link "http://myserver.com/myfile.pdf#page=4"

Sadly last time I looked at that issue, it was a choice of either Adobe's own indexing tool or a search engine that has paid a very large license fee to Adobe (and who then has to pass on much of that cost to customers).

We also had a look at it. We couldn't find any solution that worked. The syntax you suggested (#page=4) certainly doesn't work.

Yes. But there is another option we are looking at, which is search word highlighting in a PDF.

It is not exactly the same as jumping to particular page number but may provide a solution or partial solution.

It will be limited to newer versions of the Adode Reader however.
