  • Multilingual web site problems

    Hi,
    Re: Enterprise edition v5
In the website info-radiologie.ch, some parts are in french, english, portuguese, spanish and italian. A search form/chart has been created for each language.
By now I would like a search in a given part of the web site for a given language or for the whole web site (whatever the language).
<meta name="ZOOMCATEGORY" content="English" /> was set on English page, etc
    It works more or less!
First of all, the search page doesn’t validate W3C due to the category
Second, when you get the search results there is a problem to select/unselect again the language
Third, I don’t understand how to put the English (for instance) as default in the search form in every page of the English part .
In addition I don’t understand why I get two identical results for joelho in the Portuguese part (http://www.info-radiologie.ch/ressonancia-magnetica-joelho.php and http://www.info-radiologie.ch/ressonancia-magnetica-joelho.php?lsm=1_1
Thank you in advance for comments and hints
    Regards

We don't support V5 of the software anymore.
So we won't be looking at minor issues like W3C validation in this old software release.

Your "identical" results have different URLs. So are not identical.
You might want to filter all pages containing, "?lsm"

If you want to open the search form with the English category pre-selected, one option is to specify this in the URL. For example,
    http://www.info-radiologie.ch/public_portugais/search.php?zoom_cat%5B%5D=1
Another option would be to write some JS code to set this value, or define your own search form (and not use the Zoom automatic form).

there is a problem to select/unselect again the language
I didn't see any obvious problem selecting and un-selecting the chock boxes. Can you describe it in more detail.

Version 5 was initially released in 2006. We aren't planning on doing any new releases of V5.

Corrections for any bugs found will be put in V6, (or V7 which is now under development).
