Search not picking up &

The search doesn't pick up the & character. For example I have a product titled B&R Visualization. If I search for B&R it doesn't pick it up, but if I search for Visualization it does, concluding that it finds the correct page and that it does exist, it just won't find the &.

Any ideas?

In the configuration window under the 'indexing options' tab, at the bottom you will see a section titled 'indexing words'. Make sure you check 'Ampersand' which is &.

Then re-index, it should now function correctly.

Also, just make sure you have V4.1 and not V4.0.
This feature was only introduced in V4.1 and is not in V4.0
