Way to demote a category or directory? or promote certain pages

I have used the Recommended links feature and love it. However, I am concerned that some people might miss that section and jump to the numbered listings. With that in mind, I would like to demote or make less important, a directory or category. I see that I can use ZOOMPAGEBOOST to promote individual pages, but would like to demote an entire directory (over 100 pages). Is there a relatively easy way to accomplish this goal?

I set the pref. to strong for short URLS.

There is no way to boost a whole folder. But if these are HTML files, you should be able to do a multi-file search and replace to insert the extra tag in all documents in under 1 min.

Dreamweaver, UltraEdit abd many other tools, can both do multi-file search and replace.
