  • Failing to index large directories.

Hi...I tried to research this question here but came up short.

I have directories with 1000s of small files, the largest being 500KB. If I set the limits to 600KB it will not scan as the directory size being reported is 1024KB. If I set it to 1024 everything works fine. Is there any way to get around this so I can reduce the memory consumption when scanning these directories?

    Thanks

Selecting 0.5MB or 1MB won't make much difference to the amount of RAM used by Zoom. The buffer isn't allocated per file, but is only allocated per thread. So with 10 threads 0.5MB would used 5MB. A small amount compared to the 2GB in an average new machine.
