We have the professional version of Zoom, but need to move it to a Vista machine. Alas it is not working. It won't accept the registration code. Each time it is entered, it loses it, so will never search for more than 100 pages.
How to get working in Vista

V4 was available between late 2004 and early 2006. This was quite a while before Vista was available and so V4 of the software was never really tested on Vista.
It was only with V5 of the software, late 2006, that we started to support Vista.
Still I would have thought that entering the license key should work, even if other things wont. Try running as elevated admin in Vista.
Or just upgrade to V5.

No, doesn't work. Don't know what the problem is. I am a bit against upgrading, largely owing to the fact that we just don't want to upgrade! to be completely honest, we don't see why we should have to pay $50 for something we really don't want!

Glad you sorted it out. You will probably still have some minor problems using it with Vista however. We changed a reasonable amount of stuff to get V5 working smoothly in Vista. If you encounter any problems that you think might be Vista related, trying running as elevated admin (see above).
