database driven site

Hi All,

I have a few questions about the basics of zoom search engine..

How effective is it with a database-driven site. i.e. My site does not have any static data, all the data being displayed on each page is from the database.
An example of this is.
Inventory held by each room of the 5 buildings
so there are 9000 such room having atleast 500 different items being held.

The challenge is that these are not standard items being held, they have native names, english names, colloquial names. So a search engine is the best option.

So is there a way the search engine will index the tables in my database??
coz the pages dont have any data.. so a domain/site indexing will not retreieve any data... so is this possible?

I am not sure I understand the issue. You say, "all the data being displayed on each page is from the database", but also say, "the pages don't have any data.. ". Which seems to be somewhat contradictory.

But as a general comment, Zoom will index database driven web sites without any problem when using Spider mode. You can not use Offline mode in this case.
