  • Too many instances of search word

    I installed a Zoom Search Engine (Version 5.0) at this location
    http://www.priyaimportsinc.com
    Way too many instances of the searched word come up. I have
    <!--ZOOMSTOP-->
    <p>This section is skipped and no indexing will occur.</p>
    <!--ZOOMRESTART-->
    before and after the navigation but that doesn't seem to help.

    Your help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    After adding the <!--ZOOMSTOP--> and <!--ZOOMRESTART--> tags did you re-index your site and re-upload the index files to your server.

    You should also turn off caching from the "general' tab of the Zoom configuration window.

      Template file has different charset

      Thanks so much. I Indexed again and turned off caching (I think) ... the new files have been uploaded.

      I did a search for Freshwater Pearls and the MetaTags show up ... I had 100 search results, I added the stop - restart before and after the MetaTags (reindexed/uploaded) but it continued to pick up and seemed to create a problem with the menu css system. Wondering what the correct method is to eliminate indexing of the MetaTags.

      There is only one instance of the word Encore in the website and yet it comes up twice in the search, both point to the same page.

      Help ... thanks so much

        A search for encore gives two results becuase you have two different URLs for the same page.
        http://www.priyaimportsinc.com/
        and
        http://www.priyaimportsinc.com/index.html

        You could skip one URL, or turn on the CRC duplicate page filter to remove it.

        Normally people want the meta data indexed as it help the search function return the most relavant results first. But if your meta data doesn't relate to the page content and you need to have it ignored, you can turn it off from the "indexing options" tab in the Zoom configuration window.
