Up until now we have been suggesting that .NET developers use the Zoom CGI option to perform searches in .NET.
However this method involved wrapping the call to the CGI in a ASPX page. This was rather in-elegant and the CGI was always tricky to install on Windows servers due the difficulty in getting the file permissions correct.
So we have been developing a native ASP.NET search control, which should have the same high performance as the CGI, but solve some of the installation issues and be a more elegant familiar solution for .NET developers.
We are at the point now where we need some experience .NET developers to be beta testers for this new search control. As we would like some real life feedback as to how hard it is to install and use. We would be happy to provide a free copy of the Zoom software to anyone who can provide quality feedback.
