  • Intermittent CGI error

    Hello

    I've noticed we are getting an intermittent popup on the server itself (RDP) from searches, I'm not sure if there is an error front end, sorry if that's not much help. The event log entry is;

    Any ideas what might be causing it?

    You should first of all check that you have the latest version of the CGI script installed.

    Then you should re-generate your set of index files. Corrupted index files can often cause crashes. If you are using a 3rd party FTP product to transfer files, make sure you select Binary mode and not ASCII, to prevent corruption.

    Then if you still see the problem, turn on search word logging. Then try and match up the crash to a particaular search word.

    Then zip up all your search files and E-mail them to us, along with details of how you can make it crash (i.e. the search word).

      Thanks for the super fast response.

      I used the built in FTP tool last time to upload so that rules that one out.

      I've just updated Zoom to the latest version and I will re-index the site overnight and see if that fixes it.

      I've never been able to get logging to work.

      Thanks again.
