Category auto wildcard

When a client selects a category they often do not enter anything into the seach words field. This results in no action. I would like the wildcard "*" to be automatically printed in the seach words field whenever a category is selected. and the "go" link is clicked.

This is not something we have noticed users doing. Maybe a change of wording on the search page would help to give better instructions.

You could do what you want however by using some Javascript on the search page. But searches for '*' are rather inefficient (slow).
