if I set-up a mirror site, can I use zoom to index the main site, and just change the settings somewhere so it can be copied to the mirrored site and function for the mirrored site?

If the mirror site was identical in every way, like in a load sharing scenario, then you can just copy across the files. -
ok, but the base url seems to stay the same.
for example, siteB is a mirror of siteA. if I create an index for siteA, and copy it to siteB, where can I change the baseURL for the mirror site?Comment

If your two sites are using different domain names and you don't want search results from the second site to point back to the orginal site, then you could alter all the URLs in the zoom_pages.zdat file. e.g. do a search and replace using a text editor.Comment
