  • Won't Recognize .../search.php

I've been using Zoom 4.2 Pro edition in testing mode for a couple weeks and like its functionality. So I distribute the link to my mail lists. And, of course, it stops working. I receive an error message, "The page you tried to access does not exist on this server..." Here is the link:

    http://www.rampelberg.net/php_upload...dex/search.php

I reindexed with several different configurations, achieving the same lack of success.

I retested the test links that worked yesterday and they don't work today - same error message.

Talked with tech support at Go Daddy. They reviewed the account set up and verified everything looked like it should work. They suggested a problem with scripts. I asked if they'd changed something that would impact PHP and they said they'd made no changes in the last few days.

    I haven't changed anything here.

Any suggestions about what to check next?

This is nothing to do with the script itself. If you get a page not found error, either the URL is wrong or the server configuration is wrong.

You can be sure it is not the PHP script causing the problem becuase it is also not possible to access a HTML file in the same folder.

    For example,
    http://www.rampelberg.net/php_upload..._template.html
    http://www.rampelberg.net/php_upload...ictionary.zdat

also give a page not found error. So it looks like a simple case of bad URL to me.

Go Daddy should have done some tests before trying to pass the blame to our script.
